There have been some tremendous strides in home security over the past decade or so and by this we mean that there have been some leaps forward in the way in which the average home owner can protect their home and their property. A security system now goes far beyond the ‘lock and key’ approach of yesteryear and instead it concentrates on using technology to ensure that no-one can gain any unlawful access to your house.
Perhaps you have heard of Vivint BBB and you are already considering having a more advanced security system in your home? You may think that having strong wireless locks will be a step in the right direction and for all intents and purposes they are indeed – a massive step in fact – however why not go one further and look at motion detectors. They may seem like something out of a science fiction film or a featured that is far too advanced for you and will be wasted on your needs but that is not the point; the point is that they are highly effective when it comes to combating crime and either catching or putting off the perpetrators.
You won’t find a Vivint scam with these motion detectors because their only job is to detect any movement when there shouldn’t be any. If you have a back entry to your property – one that is rarely if ever used by anyone – then this would be a decent place to have one. When switched on it can detect and alert you to the fact that someone is moving around in a place that they should not and you can act accordingly. In fact, many of these detectors can be programmed to switch on a light so as to startle and eventually scare off any intruders to your home.
